"Noh"

I have been lately watching a bit of anime on the side and couldn't resist trying out animating an action sequence of my own. I created a character called "Noh" who is a ninja who dons a Japanese theatre Noh mask. I've always found "Noh" masks pretty creepy due to the absence of humanity in the character's faces. Here are some stills of the film given below:

Getting feedback from friends and family while working is very beneficial, especially in an endeavour such as this, wherein this being a personal project, it would have failed to take into account the audience who might be viewing it later. I changed the colour scheme and a number of shots even after I had completed animating them, based on feedbacks from my friends, Krishnarjun Bhattacharya and Shravan Arvind, and also my family.

Krishnarjun's diploma screening

My friend, Krishnarjun Bhattacharya, of the film and video department at NID finally screened his diploma film project, "The Haunting of Somnath Banerjee", a horror film. Haven't seen it yet, but am sure that if he were co-ordinating with our supernatural friends during the shoot, he would have faced this situation. Here's wishing him all the best with it!
